You can trust that Ronald P. Rubin, LCSW, BCD will help you and your partner with your issues.
Sometimes it's important for a couple to speak to a non-biased person about their issues and sometimes it's important for a couple to consider divorce mediation. Whether it's your first time trying counseling or you've spoken to a counselor before, you'll be impressed with my caring attitude.
Utilize mediation to lower the cost of your divorce. During the course of our sessions we will cover the following issues:
I help couples to reach agreements on issues that they are facing. Some issues that are traditionally discussed and dealt with: Child Custody and Parenting Plans, Division and Equitable Distribution of Property (Assets and Liabilities) Child Support and Maintenance (Spousal Support) Retirement Accounts and Taxes.
At the conclusion of most mediation processes, an Agreement called a "memoranda of understanding" is created addressing all of the specific decisions the couple has reached. Mediation allows for the creation of a truly individualized Separation Agreement that incorporates exactly what the couple has agreed upon. This Separation Agreement is drafted by an attorney and can be filed along with uncontested divorce paperwork should the couple so desire.
Through mediation, as with a litigated or contested divorce, a couple can still get divorced at the conclusion and have all of their issues addressed - it is the actual process that is unique.
I listen to all of my clients with compassion and without judgment throughout this emotional journey. I am experienced in helping my clients work through conflicts and am able to provide a comfortable place for them to do so. My specialized skill set provides my clients an added benefit when dealing with these sensitive issues.
My mediation practice offers couples professional guidance through the divorce process in a supportive and amicable manner; it typically coincides with an uncontested divorce. As opposed to a contested divorce and litigation, which often enable tension and conflict, my services help you amicably separate and transition into a new relationship.
In addition to the cooperative and supportive nature of mediation, numerous other benefits can be found:
More cost-efficient than traditional contested divorce process Less negative impact on the couple and on any children involved More individualized agreement at the conclusion Less time-consuming than contested and litigated divorce.
